I.J. Chip Berthelot launched Laser Midstream with his team of project veterans in 2005 after nearly 25 years of on-the-ground gathering system experience. Chip’s people-centered, straightforward business approach, combined with a top-level development and operations team, distinguished Laser as a leader among its competitors.

In 2010 Chip was joined by Tom Karam, a Scranton-PA native, with significant Pennsylvania experience in the natural gas business; and Michael Walsh, an internationally-experienced energy and infrastructure finance professional. A July 2010 merger between Berthelot’s Laser Midstream and Karam and Walsh’s Delphi Partners, yielded the new Laser Northeast Gathering Company.

Through Delphi’s partner American Securities, Laser Northeast Gathering now enjoys increased financial strength and flexibility to clearly position Laser as the premiere natural gas gathering company in the Northeast today.

Laser's management team has over 150 years of operating experience in northeastern Pennsylvania. That magnitude of experience is one of the reasons we have such an outstanding reputation in the industry for providing unparalleled service. Our staff of professionals and overall business approach allows our customers to focus on what they do best, produce gas, while we handle the gathering, compression, treating, processing, and marketing. We also offer as part of our portfolio, community relations and right-of-way easement services to assist in completing the distribution cycle.
